Established as a military fort in 1861, Fort Canning Park is a gorgeous 54-acre public area with numerous gardens, sculptures, and the super Instagrammable Tree Tunnel.

If you're looking for a relaxing break from the hullabaloo of Singapore's bustling downtown, there's no better spot than the small and quiet paradise that is Kusu Island. A quick twenty-minute ferry ride from Marina South Pier, Kusu Island is a great place to spend a couple of hours or even a full day.

The Pinnacle@Duxton is a massive public housing project located in downtown Singapore, near the financial district. The buildings have two Sky Gardens on the 26th and 50th floors that connect all seven buildings and offer amazing views of Singapore.

My favorite city in the greater Phoenix area was the charming and hip town of Mesa, Arizona. It features trendy cafes, antique shops, and tons of art murals.

One of the most popular things to do on a trip to Phoenix is to visit the Arizona Boardwalk. Its Butterfly Wonderland is a fairly expensive tourist attraction with a great butterfly conservatory, an emergence gallery, and a small aquarium.
